Resumo: This article presents the first phase of an ongoing research on large-scale external evaluation in the state of Minas Gerais. The first phase of the investigation is the mapping and preliminary analysis of academic production on SIMAVE in the period from 2000 to 2019. The survey of theses and dissertations was carried out in two repositories that bring together research developed in graduate programs throughout the country. 116 papers, 17 theses and 99 dissertations were found. A preliminary analysis of the data collected from reading the abstracts and keywords allows us to state that the existence of a diversity of study focuses in different areas of knowledge, demonstrating that the evaluation permeates and branches from the classrooms to the management of the system.

La búsqueda se realizó en dos repositorios que reúnen la investigación desarrollada en el país. Se encontraron 116 trabajos, 17 tesis y 99 disertaciones. Un análisis preliminar de los datos permitió identificar la existencia de una diversidad de enfoques de estudio en diferentes áreas de conocimiento, lo que demuestra que la evaluación impregna y se ramifica desde las aulas hasta la gestión del sistema.Este artigo apresenta a primeira fase de uma pesquisa em andamento sobre a avaliação em larga escala de Minas Gerais, que se constituiu no mapeamento e análise preliminar da produção acadêmica sobre o SIMAVE de 2000 a 2019. O levantamento foi feito em dois repositórios que congregam pesquisas desenvolvidas em todo o país. Foram encontrados 116 trabalhos, 17 teses e 99 dissertações.
