Resumo: The carnival in Natal sends us back to the nineteenth century, having gone through changes that accompanied successive historical moments. Meanwhile, the Indian tribes founded more than 90 years ago in Natal represent a cultural event that acts as counter-rationality face the hegemonic order, producing identities and territoriality in the urban context of Natal.
