Resumo: This study has as object: "the social networks of professionals and clients with renal disease, being the research carried out in a university hospital of the state of Rio de Janeiro". Objectives: Analyze the social networks of health professionals and clients with renal disease in hemodialysis at a state university hospital in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Identify the social networks of health professionals and clients with renal disease in hemodialysis. Describe how the social network of health professionals and clients with renal disease in hemodialysis are configured and the role of the actors in these networks. Discuss how network relations contribute to adherence to treatment. Methodology: This is a descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative quantitative approach, with multidisciplinary health professionals and chronic renal disease patients from a state university hospital in Rio de Janeiro as participants. Individual interviews were used for the collection, allowing responses in narrative. 13 patients and 17 health professionals were interviewed. The data were analyzed, for the quantitative segment, through Social Network Analysis, enabling data generating measures about the centrality of the actors and the construction of the sociogram, using the software Ucinet© and Netdraw©; for the qualitative segment, we used the Thematic-categorial Content Analysis. Results: Composing a discussion that involves a theme of wide approach in the literature such as hemodialysis in chronic renal disease patients with social networks involving health professionals, was a great challenge and quite instigating. On the social networks of patients, it was evidenced that the centrality of degree is focused on nursing in the figure of 2 technicians and 1 nurse, with a low density and a limitation in the study that has only enabled the quantification of in-degree. On the social networks of health professionals, we also identified a low density and again the figure of nursing highlighted with 2 technicians and 1 nurse, in the centrality of intermediation once again nursing stands out having more emphasis on 2 nurses and 2 nursing technicians, but unfortunately, we have noticed that social work stays outside the social network, not even being mentioned by any of the actors. We also corroborate with the content analysis that has pointed out the same path for nursing as a protagonist of social networks between health professionals and chronic renal disease patients. Finally, it was possible to analyze, identify, describe and discuss social networks on how they are configured and their role in contributing to adherence to treatment. Conclusion: However, weak links were also visualized regarding the care of chronic renal disease clients, regarding the professional categories of social work, nutrition and psychology and that there is openness and possibility of improvement in such aspects.

Submitted by Diane CB/B (diane.portugal@uerj.br) on 2022-11-21T15:49:10Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação - Izabella Andrade da Rocha - 2020 - Completa.pdf: 2079805 bytes, checksum: 0a78d22b285be40cfbd25acfd70491e8 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-11-21T15:49:10Z (GMT).
