This study seeks to investigate the political-aesthetic-communicative dimension embedded in the fashion line Daspu, of the prostitute organization Davida. It is a participatory qualitative project that also draws on cartography to discuss the methodological implications of an activist researcher. Indications and conclusions are proposed throughout the text, and supported by images, observations of fashion shows, dialogue with those who make up the fashion line (in-depth interviews), and concepts of the imaginary, body, social construction of identity, stigma, theories of fashion and spectacle, sexual rights, puta politics, and others. Among the conclusions, the desfiles-trottoir (sidewalk-fashion shows), as what the Daspu performances are called here, are a political, aesthetic and communicative strategy of the social movement of prostitutes that promotes a strong interaction with the public and strengthens alliances, bringing to the catwalk people who are involved in other diverse activities; they affirm a social identity of prostitutes, at the same time that they produce an entanglement of identities, confusing the public and producing a reduction, or even a dissolution of stigma in these performances; and they seek, with these resources, to disturb and transgress imaginaries of prostitution. Finally, the desfile-trottoir evokes equality and diversity, simultaneously, seeking the original meaning of trottoir as a sidewalk that everyone uses, where the prostitute circulates and lives without stigma, even as she practices her way of walking
