Violência e técnica: uma tematização fenomenológica

Faced with the uncontested growth of violence, hegemonic metaphysical and manichean understandings about man support explanatory-causal models that aim to control and to eliminate violence through certain techniques, apprehending violence as a public health problem. Understanding this path as insufficient to think about violence in its more original ontological character, Martin Heidegger's hermeneutic phenomenology seeks a non-dual perspective of existence, from which this theme can be revealed in its relation to the way of being of man and with an understanding of the negativity of existence. In this path, the notions of intentionality of Edmund Husserl and hermeneutics of Wilhelm Dilthey are also presented as basal. Current care practices already apprehend and situate man as substance, sustaining correction as the main and possible conduct. Heideggerian discussions about the question of technique and the thematizations of Hannah Arendt on totalitarianism and the banality of evil can confront deeply such conducts, chancelling the quest for phenomenological unveiling of violence, and making it possible to broaden the thinking that underlies this read beyond guardianship practices and control attempts
