Resumo: | Audiovisual education, as a sensitive cultural, political and pedagogical experience, enables a critical understanding of reality, as well as its production and imagery representation, being necessary for the integral formation of students. This is the thesis that this work seeks to defend. In the sense of constructing the omnilateral human being, this research has as its theme audiovisual education as an experience of apprehending the reality necessary for critical human formation. As a methodology, a literature review on comprehensive training was carried out, under the particular focus of training focused on the discussion of culture, in order to understand audiovisual education as a component of this training. The methodological options that guide this project are documentary research and critical discussion of the experience of the audiovisual discipline taught by the author at the Polytechnic School of Health Joaquim Venâncio, of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Understanding the image representation process from the assumption of construction of meaning for human formation is also to learn about the social practices mediated by images in capitalist society. At the end, we present an objective product of the study, which constitutes a compilation of proposals for working with audiovisual in schools. The content of this study articulated with the proposed product expresses the defense of audiovisual in education, as a theoretical-practical component of integral human formation. |

Esta é a tese que este trabalho busca defender. No sentido da construção do ser humano omnilateral, essa pesquisa tem como tema a educação audiovisual como uma experiência de apreensão da realidade necessária para formação humana crítica. Como metodologia, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura sobre a formação integral, sob o enfoque particular da formação voltada para a discussão da cultura, a fim de entender a educação audiovisual como componente dessa formação. As opções metodológicas que norteiam esse projeto são a pesquisa documental e a discussão crítica da experiência da disciplina audiovisual ministrada pelo autor na Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio, da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Entender o processo de representação de imagens a partir do pressuposto de construção de sentido para a formação humana é apreender também sobre as práticas sociais mediadas pelas imagens na sociedade capitalista. Ao final, apesentamos um produto objetivo do estudo, que se constitui no compilado de proposições para o trabalho com audiovisual nas escolas.
