Resumo: | Catalytic pyrolysis is an alternative for increasing the production of liquid fuels from biomass conversion. The main product of this processis the bio-oil; considered a renewable fuel, easy storage and transportation. The bio-oil presents it self as an alternative to oil, fossil fuel developers of global warming. Among the biomass, there is vegetable oil post-consumer waste with high environment alimpact. This work aimed to study the selectivity and yield of sun flower oil Pyrolysis in the presence of different commercial acid catalysts, in order to produce a bio-oil containing hydrocarbons. In the characterization of the catalysts were used the techniques of X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction and therm gravimetric analysis (TG). The non-catalytic pyrolysis showed a generation of pyrolytic liquid (bio-oil) ranging between 62% and 74% and acidity index (A.I.) = 73 mgNaOH / g. The pyrolysis using acid catalysts reached 80% of bio-oil values. These generated pyrolysis bio-oils (A.I.) between 55 and 60 mgNaOH / g when catalyzed by zeolites CBV 700. Zeolites that had higher Si / Al ratio. These zeolites CBV 720, CBV 760 and CBV 780 washeld to ion exchange with ammonium to evaluate the influence of this change in acidity profile and selectivity of these catalysts. The bio-oil obtained from this change presented (A.I.) = 42 mgNaOH / g. The results of 1 H-NMR indicated that de carboxylation occurred. The acid sites of Bronsted (BAS) generated by ion exchange; It wast here for effective in reducing the acidity of bio-oil emulsion and the reduction of waste pyrolysis |

O bio-óleo obtido a partir desta modificação apresentou (I.A.) = 42 mg NaOH/g.
