Produtivismo científico: um projeto para o ensino superior brasileiro? Um estudo a partir dos Planos Nacionais de Pós-Graduação

Scientific productivity refers to a wide field of debate that discusses the processes of fomentation and intensification of the scientific publications occurred in the last five decades, as well as to the (re) configurations that happened in the field of higher education due to the overvaluation of the research in view teaching and extension. Next to this sphere of productivism, but not subsumed to it, are the debates on Culture of Performativity, as thought by Stephen Ball. Productivism and Performativity are spaces of theorizing that keep differences in relation to how the practices of production and evaluation of knowledge in the present day are viewed; however, by looking at the same set of questions, they incur analytic-discursive similarities that can be thought of as "crossings" between these two áreas. The present research, through the construction of an exploratory and unintentional study in terms of theoretical preferences, sought, at first, to recognize which issues stand out transversally to these two fields of debate. The issues of publication pressure and academic evaluation in the field of knowledge were the ones that stood out the most and the evaluation was the most outstanding and debated among them. From this, in order to better understand how the evaluation policies of the / for higher education in Brazil are structured, secondly, this research was dedicated to the elaboration of a documentary analysis of the National Postgraduate Plans (Plano Nacional de Pós-graduação). Having, from the analysis of the Plans, recognized the evaluation as loaded with political force and intentionality, the present study sought, in a third moment, to discuss the issue of academic evaluation policies articulating them to what is called scientific productivism and / or culture of performativity, looking at this debate through theoreticians trained in the field of education. The conclusion of the study points to the possibility of understanding scientific productivism (and the culture of performativity) as a movement of debates laden with political forces that, to some extent, acts as a project aimed at the (re)configuration of the Brazilian higher education system
