Resumo: Samuel Beckett’s theatre results of a careful work of language decomposition, itself destined at every moment to fail. In the scene this is revealed in the unstable and helpless bodies that challenge the record of the sayable: and how to shape the continuous oscillation and the trace erasure indeed? How to give body for what often escapes, which is always in the process of disappearing? This research intends to question the notions of presence and subject in Samuel Beckett’s late theatre. Far from seeking a characterization of the bodies that implied the «decoding» of the persistent puzzles in his work, or the codification of what is destined to remain open by nature, the analysis of the processes inherent in this theatricality – from the concepts of decentralization, disidentification, the disindividualization and the dehumanization – aims to investigate the modes of subjectivation reproduced there in the tension of the trace and the erasure.

Como dar corpo àquilo que escapa frequentemente, que está sempre em vias de desaparecer? Esta pesquisa pretende interrogar as noções de presença e sujeito no teatro tardio de Samuel Beckett.
