The study on the formation of the Christological language at the Council of Chalcedon, in 451, proposed an itinerary that went through important moments for the structuring of Christian thought. The contact with the documentation of the conciliar minutes of Chalcedon pointed out three circumstances that were relevant for the formulation of Chalcedon Christology. The first occurs with of the registries Synod of Constantinople, in 448, where it reports the participation of ecclesiastics and non-ecclesiastics judging themes related to the accusation and condemnation of the monk Eutiques and his Christological teachings. The second with the registries of the Council of Ephesus held in 449, in which the issues related to the Christology of Eutiques, its rehabilitation and the deposition of reference characters became central. The third deals directly with the events that were part of the Council of Chalcedon. We observe the debates about the Christological language mediated by the officers of the imperial court when presiding over the conciliar sessions under the interests of the Emperor Marciano. It‘s in interchangeable relationship between the Western and Eastern ecclesiastical representatives for the elaboration of a Christological formula aligned to their interests and the existence of a history of Christology that points in a specific time frame traces of a divided Christian world.
