Transsexuality is a growing complex topic; a modern manifestation that lead us to the most primordial human questions: the sex. It was also from the embarrassment imposed by this cut made by sex that Freud saw, right under his eyes, indecipherable symptoms that used to attack enigmatic women. By that time, the hysteric uncertainty about how to be a woman challenged the medical knowledge. Nowadays, the challenge is imposed by certainty (psychotic?) about the own sex to the symbolic law and its limits. This work proposes explore the articulation between transsexuality issue and psychoanalysis, where theory and clinic match to explore the singular answer given by the subject in front of the sex enigma that can take place under the gender aegis. We did a literature review about the topic, a research based on available medias - documentaries and interviews -, as some clinical cases available at the psychoanalytic literature and clinical notes. We concluded that transsexuality is a subject with few academic productions in psychoanalysis, that demands a critical and careful discussion so we may avoid the Scientific speech that suppresses the desire, the social speech that - only worried about the civil rights - eliminates the subject, neither a clinic that keep on reproducing group Psychologism, living behind listening, transference and the subject.
