Brasil, mostra a tua cara! A emergência neoliberal e neoconservadora nos debates de gênero nas recentes políticas curriculares (2014-2018)

Resumo: The discontent of the dominant economic elites and the Brazilian middle class in the face of the (albeit) incipient income redistribution reforms of the Lula and Dilma governments, added to the advancement of some demands from LGBTI+ collectives, feminists and other social movements, led to the rearticulation and strengthening of extreme right groups. This movement was present in the speeches that disputed the current curricular policies PNE and BNCC. If, before, discussing gender and sexuality was restricted to the private sphere, at the moment that this type of discussion starts to form a progressive agenda and, more than that, an agenda of inclusive interests, denouncing how public and democratic the school should be, this becomes the focus of attention of neoconservatives aligned and added to the neoliberal interests of diminishing the role of the State, at the same time as a privileged space for attacking dissident sexual minorities. Thus, guided by the post-structural perspective, in this work I defend the thesis that the neoconservative discourses mobilized by Christian religious fundamentalists as a way to stop the discussions of gender and sexuality in curricular and educational policies, are not explained only by the bias of morality, but should be thought of as fundamental elements of the resurgence of a neoliberal agenda, in Brazil and abroad.

Tal movimento se fez presente nos discursos que disputaram as atuais políticas curriculares PNE e BNCC. Se, antes, discutir gênero e sexualidade restringia-se à esfera privada, no momento em que esse tipo de discussão passa a conformar uma agenda progressista e, mais que isso, uma agenda de interesses inclusivos, denunciando o quão pública e democrática a escola deveria ser, isso passa a ser foco da atenção de neoconservadores alinhados e somados aos interesses neoliberais de diminuição do papel do Estado, ao mesmo tempo que se torna espaço privilegiado de ataque às minorias sexuais dissidentes.
