This dissertation is a research on the status of the concept of perversion, in psychoanalysis, held in the academic master's degree. Starting from the common and frequent association between perversion and perversity, we trace a course of studies on the concept in Freud and Lacan in order to interrogate this and other assertions that reject perversion, reserving for it a certain degree of theoretical obscurantism. For this, we began the investigation of the concept in Freud (1905), the first chapter seeks to unravel what is conceptually the perversion. Discussions with medicine, which is the field from which the notion comes, before receiving Freudian subversion. In the first chapter devoted to conceptualizing perversion from this, we proceed to delimit the proper distinctions between perversion, perversity, polymorphous perversion, one of the names for human sexuality, the mechanism of defense of perversion (Verleugnung) and that of the unconscious, the paradigm of fetishism. We turn to the study of the ethics of psychoanalysis and its relation to the writing Kant with Sade in the teaching of Lacan (1960, 1962), moving on to the concept of structure until we come to the concept of jouissance and perverse act. Finally, there is a chapter devoted to fundamental fantasy in an articulation between Freud (1919) and Lacan (1957-1958) and masochism as a problem for libidinal economy, but also the structure of masochistic perversion
