Resumo: There is a great discussion about the similarities and differences between historical and fictional narratives. Guided by the notion of historical conscience developed by Jörn Rüsen and the relation between time and narrative, by Paul Ricoueur, this research aims to discuss the convenience of promoting an exchange between science and fiction within History Teaching practices. Arguing from theoretical reflections followed by experiments developed with students in the final grades of elementary school, this research aims to find, within the intersection between Literature and History, a means to provide a link between scholarly and non-scholarly knowledge in advantage of the narrative competence maturation. In order to articulate the most recent discussions in the field of the Didactic of History and the teaching of History, this research is intended to teachers of basic education, targeting to provide a new reference to reflect on the approach and method they apply to their educational practices.

Orientado pela noção de consciência histórica trazida por Jörn Rüsen e a relação entre o tempo e a narrativa de Paul Ricoeur, o presente trabalho procura discutir a conveniência de promover o intercâmbio entre ciência e ficção no âmbito das práticas de ensino de História. Argumentando a partir de reflexões teóricas seguidas por experimentos realizados com estudantes das séries finais do ensino fundamental, este trabalho busca na intersecção entre literatura e História um meio de proporcionar o contato entre saberes escolares e não-escolares em proveito do amadurecimento da competência narrativa.
