Chess is seen as a sport of the mind, a game that uses a lot of reasoning. From this perspective, let's investigate where it relates to mathematics and the teaching-learning process in general and to see if chess can be used to help in learning math in some way trying to verify if creativity and logic worked in chess is applied in math exercises through the use of a qualifying survey with players in the field, both mathematicians and non-mathematicians as well as a descriptive and bibliographic research of related subjects both done through of dissertations and theses in the area of education and mathematics education and in publications by reference players in the sport. Seeking to understand the financial feasibility of using this game as an educational tool, both for private and public education. Once this link is done properly, we can identify if chess can be a tool to be used to facilitate student learning.
