Os NEABI's como espaços de problematização e aprendizagem dos processos históricos e culturais dos povos africanos e afro-brasileiros: vivências na educação básica

The struggles of social movements, especially black movements, placed here in the plural because they are represented on different fronts, culminated among other actions and specifically in the educational field, in the creation of the Nuclei of Afro-Brazilians Estudos (NEAB) or Nuclei of Afro-American studies. brazilians and indigenous peoples (NEABI's) who later constituted experiences also in basic education. The present work brings reflections and inferences about NEABi's initially arising in higher education, as a possibility of being a space for research, dissemination of knowledge and problematization and learning of the historical and cultural processes of afrodescendant and indigenous peoples also in basic education. This space emerges as affirmative action in view of the demands of Law 10639/03, Law 11.645/08 and anti-racist pedagogical practices, over time, also takes up place in federal institutes and schools. In this research, through bibliographic references that highlight the importance of breaking with the status quo, represented by a Eurocentered curriculum and teaching since the beginning of basic education, about the History and Cultura of Africans, Afrodescendants and indigenous peoples, and having as resource and strategy of qualitative data collection the interviews and narratives of NEAB's coordinators (NEAB Ayó and NEAB CPII) and a teacher of basic education, member of the collective Agbalá, whose objective is to propagate anti-racist practices in schools, sought to identify NEABI's and collectives as spaces that enhance new forms of knowledge organization in basic education.
