When Freud refers to the woman as "a black continent" he poses himself the question: "What does a woman want?" To that, Lacan replies, "The woman does not exist", which he expressed in the matheme: S (Ⱥ). J-A Miller comments on this statement made by Lacan by indicating that she is the "friend of what the real is". This research on "The beauty that guards the feminine", based on Freud s work, on Lacan s and on J.-A. Miller s teachings, and on some texts by their reviewers ended up by proposing that there is an affinity between Ⱥ woman and the attribute of beauty, i.e. beauty as a resource to be identified with the phallus, in an attempt to conceal her castration. We have also noted that beauty as an ornament, arm and cover, hides the unbearable, barring access to a fundamental horror, core of the anguish of being a body unveiled as a piece of flesh, since a subject only acquires a body from the significant coming from the Other. Along this work, we have investigated these questions: beauty considered as a resource to abolish and/or guard the place of femininity, as well as beauty, confronted by the subject s constituent structural trauma, which may be considered an approach that allows the invention of constantly singular forms to ex-sist
