Photography and poetry in school: a practice of literary literacy

Resumo: | This article presents a literary literacy project carried out during the Literacy course, of the Mestrado Profissional em Letras (PROFLETRAS), in 2015, at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN). With this work, we aim to share, with other teachers, the activities implemented in an elementary school 9th grade class, in a state public school in Fortaleza/CE, which aimed to provide social reading and writing practices, through the relationship between image and verbal text, more specifically, between photography and poem. For achieving this objective, Soares (1998), Lajolo (2005), Kleiman (2005, 2008), Sorrenti (2009), Street (2012), Candido (2012) and Cosson (2015) theoretically and methodologically based the literacy practice and helped understand this creative and significant experience in the lives of students and the teacher-researcher. |

Com este trabalho, compartilhamos, com outros docentes, as atividades implementadas em uma turma de 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, em uma escola pública estadual de Fortaleza/CE, as quais objetivaram proporcionar práticas sociais de leitura e escrita, por meio da relação entre imagem e texto verbal, mais especificamente, entre fotografia e poema.
