Resumo: When man seeks to know the world and himself, what he really looks for is to approach himself to the principle: that is the mystique dimension of human knowledge in Nicholas.  We will find three important coincidences between the mystique of Cusanus and the thought of St. Augustine.  First, that prior to the mystique moment, it is necessary to prepare oneself knowing what is seekd to love.  Second: during the cognoscitive moment both highlight divine infinity and thus conclude its incomprehensibility regarding our knowledge, ending in a learned ignorance.  However, when we go deeper into the meaning of divine incomprehensibility and learned ignorance in each of these thinkers, we will see that they will reach a different scope.  Third: without love it is not attained the perfect possession nor the assimilation to the exemplar.  In summary, for both thinkers, not only knowledge but also love are necessary to arrive to the true union with God.  This position implies at the same time a particular conception of human mens, unity of intelligere and diligere.

Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte - UERN2020-09-07info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionAvaliado pelos paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/article/view/239710.25244/tf.v13i1.2397Trilhas Filosóficas; v. 13 n. 1 (2020): Trilhas Filosóficas: DOSSIÊ FILOSOFIA E MíSTICA; 55-771984-556110.25244/tf.v13i1reponame:Trilhas Filosóficas (Online)instname:Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN)instacron:UERNspahttps://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/article/view/2397/2204Copyright (c) 2020 Alexia Schmittinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSchmitt, Alexia2020-09-08T14:45:13Zoai:ojs2.periodicos.apps.uern.br:article/2397Revistahttp://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/indexPUBhttp://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/oaitrilhasfilosoficas@uern.br || marcos_erico@yahoo.com.br10.25244/tf1984-55611982-7490opendoar:2020-09-08T14:45:13Trilhas Filosóficas (Online) - Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN)false
