Resumo: This paper aims to discuss twinning, from the conception, the gestation, and the perinatal moment, to the issues of the uniqueness of “being identical twin" and language change. In this sense, the text emphasizes the importance that the family group of twins has in their formation and their identification as a social being, what occurs through language. Thus language is considered relevant in the process of individual constitution of the child as a social subject, while his identity constitution occurs in the context of relationships as well as in the social and intrafamily order.

Thus language is considered relevant in the process of individual constitution of the child as a social subject, while his identity constitution occurs in the context of relationships as well as in the social and intrafamily order.El objetivo de este artículo es discutir sobre la gemelaridad, pasando por la concepción, la gestación y el momento perinatal hasta llegar a las cuestiones relativas a la singularidad del "ser gemelo idéntico", a la alteración del lenguaje y la gemelaridad. En ese sentido, el texto resalta la importancia que el grupo familiar de gemelos tiene en la formación e identificación del niño gemelo como un ser social, lo que ocurre a través del lenguaje. El lenguaje es considerado de forma relevante en el proceso de constitución del individuo como sujeto social, mientras que la constitución de la identidad de ese sujeto ocurre en el contexto de las relaciones, en el orden de lo social e intrafamiliar.O objetivo deste artigo é discutir sobre a gemelaridade, passando pela concepção, a gestação e o momento perinatal até chegar às questões relativas à singularidade do “ser gêmeo idêntico”, à alteração de linguagem e à gemelaridade. Nesse sentido, o texto ressalta a importância que o grupo familiar de gêmeos tem na formação e identificação da criança gêmea como um ser social, o que ocorre via linguagem.
