Argumentative techniques and wildcard arguments: analysis of an essay from the Portal Brasil Escola

Resumo: The study aims at analyzing the argumentative techniques used in an essay taken from the Brasil Escola website, in order to investigate how the author of the text builds his argumentation and if there is a relationship with the wildcard arguments, released in a handbook by the youtuber Poxa Lulu. To do so, we drew on studies by Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (2005) and by Ferreira (2015). Firstly, we selected an essay written by an unidentified student taken from the Brasil Escola website and from a writing production handbook marketed online. After that, we compared the argumentative techniques used by him with those in a sample essay from the handbook. After the comparative analysis, the results indicate that there is a relationship between the two sources and that this may compromise the construction of the students' arguments.

En la primera fase, hubo la selección de un ensayo de un estudiante no identificado, tomado del Portal Brasil Escola y de un manual de producción textual comercializado en línea. Luego, las técnicas argumentativas utilizadas por él fueron comparadas con las de un modelo de ensayo del manual. Los resultados indican que existe relación entre los dos materiales, lo que puede comprometer la construcción de argumentos por los estudiantes.L'étude vise à analyser les techniques argumentatives utilisées dans un essai tiré du site Web Brasil Escola, afin d'étudier comment l'auteur du texte adopte l'argumentation et s'il existe une relation avec les arguments génériques, publiés dans un manuel par le youtuber Poxa Lulu. Pour cela, nous avons utilisé les études de Perelman et Tyeca (2005) et de Ferreira (2015). De plus, nous avons discuté de l'évaluation des essais dans Enem, des arguments génériques et de l'influence des youtubeurs sur l'éducation des individus. Tout d'abord, il y a eu la sélection d'un essai d'un étudiant non identifié tiré du site Web de Brasil Escola. Après cela, il y avait une comparaison des techniques argumentatives utilisées par lui avec celles d'un exemple d'essai du manuel. Les résultats indiquent qu'il existe une relation entre les deux sources, et que cela peut compromettre la construction des arguments des étudiants.O trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma análise das técnicas argumentativas utilizadas em uma redação do tipo dissertativo-argumentativo retirada do Portal Brasil Escola, a fim de investigar como o autor do texto desenvolve sua argumentação e se há uma relação com os argumentos coringas, divulgados em um Manual da youtuber Poxa Lulu. Para isso, utilizamos os estudos de Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca (2005) e de Ferreira (2015). Na primeira fase da pesquisa, houve a seleção de uma redação de um aluno sem identificação, retirada do Portal Brasil Escola e de um manual de produção de texto comercializado pela internet. Em seguida, fizemos a comparação das técnicas argumentativas utilizadas por ele com as de um modelo de redação do Manual. Após a análise interpretativa e comparativa, os resultados apontaram que há uma relação entre os dois materiais e que isso pode comprometer a construção da argumentação dos vestibulandos.
