Resumo: This article discusses language from an argumentative-discursive point of view to deal with gender issues, having the Brazilian political discourse in the Bolsonaro administration as its starting point and background. From the analysis of the textual genre “meme,” it is studied the minimal prototypical argumentative sequence by Adam (2008). By analyzing this sequence, it will be demonstrated that, from a textual point of view, the criticism of the government the sequence reproduces is well-grounded; however, from the discursive point of view, there are lapses in meaning, which tend to show an identification of the critical subject with the very object of his/her criticism. It is argued, thus, that subjects build their argumentative statements to either reinforce or refute a given political project but do not completely control their discourse, given that discursive formations, as well as language itself, are not entirely transparent.

A partir del análisis del género textual “meme”, se vislumbra el proyecto de secuencia argumentativa prototípica mínima de Adam (2008). El análisis de la secuencia mostrará que, desde um punto de vista textual, la crítica al gobierno que reproduce el “meme” está bien fundada; sin embargo, desde el punto de vista discursivo, existen lapsus de sentido, que tienden a mostrar una identificación del sujeto crítico con el objeto mismo de su crítica. Se argumenta, por tanto, que los sujetos construyen sus enunciados argumentativos para reforzar o refutar um determinado proyecto político sin controlar por completo sus dichos, dado que la formación discursiva, así como el lenguaje, no es del todo transparente.Cet article traite du langage d'un point de vue argumentatif-discursif pour traiter des questions de genre, en prenant comme point de départ et comme arrière-plan le discours politique brésilien dans l'administration Bolsonaro. À partir de l'analyse du genre textuel « mème », on étudie la séquence argumentative prototypique minimale d'Adam (2008). En analysant cette séquence, il sera démontré que, d'un point de vue textuel, la critique du gouvernement que la séquence reproduit est fondée ; cependant, du point de vue discursif, il y a des lacunes de sens, qui tendent à montrer une identification du sujet critique avec l'objet même de sa critique. Il est donné comme argumenté, ainsi, que les sujets construisent leurs énoncés argumentatifs pour soit ou réfuter un projet, mais ne contrôlent pas complètement leur formation politique, étant donné que le langage discursif, lui-même, n'est pas entièrement transparent.O presente artigo discute a lingua(gem) sob o ponto de vista argumentativo-discursivo para tratar de questões de gênero, tendo como ponto de partida e contexto de fundo o discurso político brasileiro no governo Bolsonaro. A partir da análise do gênero textual “meme”, vislumbra-se o projeto de sequência argumentativa prototípica mínima de Adam (2008). A análise da sequência mostrará que, do ponto de vista textual, a crítica ao governo reproduzida pelo “meme” é fundamentada; porém, do ponto de vista discursivo, há deslizes do sentido, que tendem a mostrar uma identificação do sujeito crítico com o próprio objeto de sua crítica.
