Resumo: | Breno Accioly (Santana do Ipanema/Alagoas, 1921 – Rio de Janeiro/, 1966) entered the Brazilian literary scene in late 1944 with the short-story collection João Urso. This article analyzes some spatial elements observed by the narrator, such as: the window, the house and the city. The aim is to understand how space and character are interlinked. In addition, this text is divided into three parts, the first being a biobibliographical context, since both the author and his work are little known; then, some of the frequent critical approaches used in literary criticism about space are discussed; and finally, the analysis of the story, which will follow the narrator's view of the spaces examined. This approach is supported by the studies of Brandão (2013), Lins (1976), Blanchot (2011). |
