Resumo: | The article seeks to reconstruct episodes from the life story of Yalorixá Érica Aparecida Santos, better known as Mãe Érica de Oxóssi, from her memoires and oral narratives, displaying her trajectory since childhood as a countryside girl from a humble Family, to her adulthood, focusing on the religious experience after reaching the highest position in candomblé: yalorixá, or mãe de santo. When we think about this process, we reflect about some social memory aspects of the hinterland of Alagoas from themes such as gender, race and religion. |
