Resumo: The present work presents the results obtained in the application of methodologies aimed at evaluating the quality of pedestrian infrastructure - the sidewalks - having as object of study the blocks of the city center of Canapi/AL. The methodologies were selected through a bibliographic review regarding the subject and according to the best adaptation to the reality studied. These methodologies allow the identification of the priority attributes to assess the quality of the analyzed public spaces. The analysis of the obtained results showed that the methodologies adopted can be applied to different realities and that, despite having different quality indicators for the evaluation of the pedestrian spaces, return similar results and consistent with reality. In view of the above, the diagnosis developed in this study indicates a low index of quality of the pedestrian infrastructure in the region under study, presenting a critical situation for the pedestrian, and a standardization is necessary to adapt to the principles of accessibility recommended in the various legislations related to the theme.

As metodologias foram selecionadas mediante revisão bibliográfica a respeito do assunto e de acordo com a melhor adaptação a realidade estudada. Tais metodologias permitem a identificação dos atributos prioritários para aferir a qualidade dos espaços públicos analisados. A análise dos resultados obtidos mostrou que as metodologias adotadas podem ser aplicadas a diferentes realidades e que, apesar de possuir indicadores de qualidade diferentes para avaliação dos espaços para pedestres, retornam resultados semelhantes e condizentes com a realidade.
