Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent deficits in communication, social interaction in multiple contexts and the presence of restricted, repetitive and stereotyped behaviour patterns. With the increasing inclusion in regular schools, the frequency of children diagnosed with ASD will also be a reality present in the lives of teachers, including physical education. This study has a qualitative and quantitative approach, of a case study and has the following question to investigate, what influence of the exercise program on the profile of general symptoms and motor profile of children with autism spectrum disorder under the perception of family members and objective assessment. The study has as general objective: to verify from the family perception and objective evaluation the influence of the intervention program based on physical exercise in the general profile of symptoms and motor profile of children with ASD. Two children, aged 6 years old, male, with a diagnosis of ASD formalized by the neuropediatrican and / or psychiatrist and who are attended by the Unified Center for Integration and Development of the Autistic (CUIDA), participants were selected for this study. of the Physical Exercise Program for children with autism spectrum disorder (PEFaut), an extension and research project that counts on the participation of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of the Federal University of Alagoas. For qualitative analysis, descriptive statistics were used with absolute (n) and relative (%) frequency distribution, 95% confidence interval (95% CI), mean, standard deviation (SD), minimum and maximum. In view of the above, it seems to be relevant and necessary for physical education teachers to be able to develop, develop and apply methods capable of intervening in the reduction of these stereotyped behaviors as well as in improving the motor profile in Specialized Educational Service environments ( ESA) within the school.
