In this monograph we used bibliographic research, reading and analysis of several works and authors, where some theoretical visions of the following scholars were highlighted: Belotti (1975), Capai (2013), Castro (2001), Lahire (2004), Lajoro 2001), Louro (2008), Stamatto (1998), Zilberman (2001), to understand how the girls lived the traditions and the modernity in the perspective of schooling, because the rights to school formation went through several struggles and achievements for the present be a right guaranteed by law. It is considered of great value the opportunity to carry out this work that can make a significant contribution in understanding the difficulties that women faced to enter and remain in the broken school the taboos that made the women to commit themselves absolutely to domestic chores, marriage and maternity. In order to quantify the enrollments of male and female students, the option for the Municipal School of Basic Education Professor Virgilia Bezerra de Lima, for being the largest school in the municipality of Delmiro Gouveia - Alagoas, through the annual reports of initial enrollment in the school years from 2001 to 2016 gave us subsidies to quantify and prove that the schooling of girls is upward and that little by little female empowerment has been prevailing by breaking away and leaving behind the traditions and obstacles to the schooling of women.
