Análise das manifestações patológicas comumente encontradas nos revestimentos da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Campus do Sertão

Even with the use of more modern materials and technologies within a construction, it is still possible to observe the occurrence of numerous failures, that cause defects and anomalies, denominated of pathologies of the buildings. The pathology of the buildings is the area of engineering which studies the buildings and components that for some reason present an unsatisfactory performance, it has making an analysis of the defects through their origins and causes, mechanisms of occurrence and consequences. Among the existing pathological manifestations, the problems in coatings, in particular, it has a high incidence in the buildings since after completion of the construction remains exposed, in order to provide functional and aesthetic comfort to its user. The Federal University of Alagoas, Campus do Sertão, located in the municipality of Delmiro Gouveia - AL, high sertão alagoano, in spite of being a relatively new building presents a considerable frame of the occurrence of anomalies in its coatings, and because of this it needs a thorough analysis, carried out through a exploratory study is based by the following methodological procedure: bibliographical survey, technical visits to the building, history of the building with technical personnel involved in the construction of the building, types of maintenance carried out, photographic memorial and diagnosis of the main manifestations found. From the research, it was possible to identify and analyze the main pathological manifestations present in mortar, painting and ceramic coatings, from the inside to the outside, presenting them through systematized table with number of occurrence of the problem, classification of probable origins (project, execution, use and materials) and presenting the results in graphs, for a better interpretation.
