This research seeks a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the cartographic contents contained in the 3rd year high school Geography textbook of the Itaparica I-CETEPI I Territorial Center for Vocational Education, in the city of Paulo Afonso-BA. The book of the Geography discipline of Rogério Martinez and Wanessa Garcia was investigated, seeking to identify the importance of cartographic products inserted in the material, dialoguing with any content to be addressed. The data collection was made from the quantification of cartographic products along the 10 units of the textbook of the teacher of the referred series, based on the readings and the theoretical reference contained in the research, emphasizing the maps, graphs and illustrations (photos and figures). that were present at each stage of the material. The results of the research could conclude that the textbook is consistent with the contents covered and the cartographic products contained in them, but that the importance of the teacher is crucial for this fact to be effective, in order to demonstrate that the cartography is inserted in all the stages of the book, and at the end of the work globally to express that cartography is not a subject seen in a specific unit, but that its contribution relates to other contents.
