Overview of Intellectual Property in the National Industrial Learning System

The National Service for Industrial Learning is the largest professional education complex in Latin America. This study aims to seek to identify how regional departments (DR) appropriate the products developed, identifying which ones have an innovation management policy and comparing them with the intellectual property assets protected by each DR, referring to the filing of patents. at the offices of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Quantitative data were also loaded from a research survey, where information was defined for 10 DRs out of the 27 existing ones. It was observed that DRs that dissipate a greater number of patent filings also contain a specific sector to deal with intellectual property and technology transfer. It is important to emphasize the need for specific treatment of the matter within the structure of Senai, in order to guarantee the protection of the creations generated.
