For the success of a Geographical Indication, it is necessary that the operationalization be efficient and participatory. Based on this assumption, the objective of this study is to evaluate the critical and successful points of the operationalization of the Denomination of Origin “Terra Indígena Andirá-Marau”. As methodological procedures, the research is characterized as qualitative, applied, exploratory, through a case study, supported by bibliographic and documentary research. As a result, the Denomination of Origin still does not operate efficiently, being able to perceive the absence of institutional partnerships, such as the City Hall of the Municipality of Parintins, and a marketing promotion team of the IG, with the use of digital strategies, such as social networks. , with the purpose of expanding business, mainly in Manaus, capital of Amazonas. These preliminary results corroborate the need to structure some critical points in the operationalization of the Denomination of Origin, so that it can have greater effectiveness in its performance.
