Scientific and Technological Prospecting about Pineapple (Ananas Comosus)

Resumo: The pineapple species Ananas comosus (L.) Merr. covers all cultivars of fruit interest, some endemic to Brazil. This work brings a survey of research and technologies related to pineapple (Ananas comosus), aiming to highlight its importance and stimulate research on new technologies. The scientific prospecting was carried out on the Scopus and Web of Science bases, and the technological prospecting on the Espacenet (EPO), USPTO, Derwent, and Patenscope (WIPO) bases, in addition to The Lens and Patent Inspiration tools. At Scopus, there were 2,314 results and at Web of Science, 3,199. In Brazil, the numbers were, respectively, 451 and 614. Bases Derwent, Espacenet (EPO), Patenscope (WIPO), USPTO, Lens and Patent Inspiration led to a total of 192 patents. According to the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC), there is a concentration of patents in the areas of agriculture, life sciences, beverages and bioengineering.

Este trabalho traz um levantamento de pesquisas e tecnologias relacionadas ao abacaxi (Ananas comosus), com o propósito de ressaltar sua importância e de estimular pesquisas de novas tecnologias. A prospecção científica foi realizada nas bases Scopus e Web of Science, e a tecnológica, nas bases Espacenet (EPO), USPTO, Derwent e Patenscope (WIPO), além das ferramentas The Lens e Patent Inspiration. Na Scopus foram obtidos 2.314 resultados e na Web of Science, 3.199. No Brasil, os números foram, respectivamente, 451 e 614.
