O movimento apresenta-se como uma reação às agendas de atuação dos governos Lula (PT/2003-2010) e Dilma (PT/ 2011 até o impeachment em 2016), sobretudo contra o fortalecimento e ampliação dos direitos feministas e LGBTQIA+. O MESP ganhou força e capilaridade a partir dos vínculos dos projetos de lei no âmbito municipal, estadual e federal, culminando desfechos como a retirada do termo "gênero" dos documentos oficiais como a BNCC. As reivindicações do MESP fazem parte de uma agenda neoconservadora que, inclusive, serviu de elemento potente nas promessas de campanha do então candidato de extrema direita, Jair Bolsonaro (Sem Partido), eleito em 2018. A pesquisa investiga em que medida os discursos do combate à "ideologia de gênero" no "Movimento Escola sem Partido" contribuíram para a configuração de um projeto de poder neoconservador no contexto brasileiro, a partir de uma etnografia multissituada (MARCUS, 1995). Para tanto, tece uma análise sobre diversos materiais que abrangem os discursos de combate à "ideologia de gênero" disseminados pelo MESP, a saber: seis audiências públicas para a votação e debate de projetos de lei vinculados ao "Movimento Escola sem Partido" nos municípios de Taubaté - SP (PL 103/2017), Sorocaba-SP (PL 22/2017) e Santo André-SP (PL 299/2017), a inserção no campo de pesquisa e os materiais empíricos registrados em um diário de campo, proposituras vinculadas ao MESP no âmbito municipal, estadual e federal, bem como as demandas e o conteúdo apresentado nas duas principais vertentes de atuação do MESP (o Programa Escola sem Partido e o escolasempartido.com)The present research investigates the disputes around the gender category in the field of education, mobilized by the fight against "gender ideology", in the "Movimento Escola Sem Partido'' (MESP). The movement presents itself as a reaction to the action agendas of the Lula (PT/2003-2010) and Dilma (PT/ 2011 until impeachment in 2016) governments, especially against the strengthening and expansion of feminist and LGBTQIA+ rights. The MESP has gained strength and capillarity from the bonds of bills at the municipal, state and federal sphere, culminating in outcomes such as the removal of the term "gender" from official documents such as the BNCC. The MESP's claims are part of a neoconservative agenda that even served as a powerful element in the campaign promises of the then extreme right-wing candidate, Jair Bolsonaro (No Party), elected in 2018. This research investigates to what extent the speeches of combat to "gender ideology" in the "Movimento Escola Sem Partido'' had contributed to the configuration of a neoconservative power project in the Brazilian context, based on a multi-sited ethnography (MARCUS, 1995).
