Can educational practices motivate students and influence school retention? This study presupposes that the way in which educational and pedagogical practices are carried out during the teaching-learning process contributes to the student's permanence in school, presenting dropout as a consequence of practices that interfere in the learning process. The evasion in the National Program for Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education in the Youth and Adult Education Modality (PROEJA), object of study addressed in academic works in the form of a master's thesis, available at the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD ) from the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT) contain notes that contribute to the investigation of this hypothesis, but without discarding the role that the social environment plays on these individuals. "Through this clipping" it was possible to ascertain how the problem of School Dropout is approached, noting in these studies the relationship that is revealed with Educational Practices, assuming that this suspicion is true, it would require a different posture from institutions and educators of this program, in the search for improvement and adoption of innovative and significant educational practices that actually contribute to greater student engagement, better use in assimilating the contents covered and also in counteracting school dropout in this modality.
