Gestão participativa: um processo contínuo?.

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the degree of participation of the teaching and administrative staff in school management of IFE. This is a case study with quantitative approach in which it was used as instrument closed questions adapted from Holanda and Brito (2007). It was applied a kind of questionnaire to the 115 teachers and 59 administrative staff, totaling 174 servers. As for the phases of analysis and interpretation of data, it was realized a descriptive analysis was done with a quantitative treatment. The research results showed that the participation of teachers and administrative staff was located in grade (2). Thus, comparing the two segments of the research, the data show that in the dimension of plannning there is a difference between the administrative staff and the teachers, whereas the second takes part more effectively in the process of planning the policies of the Institution. In the dimension of execution and usufuct, the two segments take part in the highest degree, but this difference appeared less strong and may be said that the participation of teachers is more effective in all three dimensions. In a general way, the management conception adopted institutionally has the need to toward overcoming the authoritarian and centralized culture of management of public institutions in order to consolidate a critical and conscious participation of the entire academic community.

Trata-se de um estudo de caso com enfoque quantitativo, no qual foi utilizado como instrumento um questionário com questões fechadas, adaptado de Holanda e Brito (2007). Com isso, aplicou-se um questionário para os 115 docentes e 59 técnicos administrativos, totalizando 174 servidores. Quanto às fases de análise e interpretação dos dados, foi realizada uma análise descritiva, com o tratamento de forma quantitativa. Os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que a participação dos docentes e dos técnicos administrativos encontra-se situada no nível de participação inicial. Assim, comparando os dois segmentos da pesquisa, os dados revelam que na dimensão planejamento há uma diferença relevante entre os técnicos administrativos e professores, visto que os segundos participam de forma mais efetiva no processo de planejar as políticas da Instituição. Já na dimensão execução e usufruto, os dois segmentos participam em nível mais elevado, porém a participação dos professores é mais efetiva nas duas dimensões.
