Resumo: Condoms are the only contraceptive methods to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, therefore tit is necessary that their use is stimulated through disseminate information about their benefits and usage mode. Deafness promotes communication barrier particularly with health professionals, which makes it difficult to acquire the necessary knowledge for their health. The creation of assistive technologies to this public, on the use of condoms, is an important step for achieving sexual and reproductive health. The objective was to build educational assistive technology, in the model of online course for the deaf on the use of condoms. Methodological study, which followed the five phases of Digital Educational Material Development Model in the period from February to December 2014.Analysis and Planning stage involved defining the product, audience, topic, objectives and purpose. Target population was deaf people, and the theme was the use of condoms, in order to promote learning on how to avoid unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. The modeling stage included construction of script content, selection of media, creation of storyboards, election of interaction elements and definition of navigational structures. The built course totaled five classes, respectively: Presentation, Anatomy and Women’s and Men’s Physiology, Family Planning, Condoms and Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Use of Condoms. In the Implementation stage it was recorded the content and videos were edited. It was elected the first and last recorded class, considered primordial to compression of the course objectives and teaching about the use of condoms. Next, there was the translation of videos for codes of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and they were allocated to particular server. The construction of the pages followed the accessibility standards recommended in national and international documents. Evaluation and Maintenance performed at all stages of the study was achieved with application of Evaluator and Simulator of Sites Accessibility (ASES). The evaluation inpages’course generated Error Reporting, accusing in each didactic module an error and two warnings related to two international principles and six notices involved with six national recommendations. There was the correction of relevant warnings to deaf population, and the course was considered accessible by automatic evaluation. In distribution step there was the accommodation of course in virtual learning environment of UFC virtual Institute (SOLAR Environment). It is concluded that the construction of accessible digital educational material to deaf people is viable and necessary to this population.

Curso construído totalizou cinco aulas, respectivamente: Apresentação, Anatomia e Fisiologia Feminina e Masculina, Planejamento Familiar, Preservativos e as Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis e Uso dos Preservativos. Pagliuca, Lorita Marlena FreitagÁfio, Aline Cruz Esmeraldo2015-10-23T13:51:28Z2015-10-23T13:51:28Z2015info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfÁFIO, A.
