Resumo: The importance of Clarice Lispector for Brazilian Literature is unquestionable. Since the publication of his first novel, his work has been making a great impact on critics and elicited a legion of fans. Always concerned for her intimacy, Clarice made of her texts a testimony of her restless and questioning identity. The book A Descoberta do Mundo (1984) gathers the chronicles originally published in the weekly column that maintained of Jornal do Brasil, between the years of 1967 and 1973. These texts, essentially and metalinguistics, in which the author seems to point to the desire of apprehending and understanding the writing processes that are of interest to our study. In this way, what is proposed is the analysis of confluent aspects between the chronicle and the essay in the writings of Clarice Lispector collected in the book A Descoberta do Mundo (1984). It is known that the chronicle is a genre that oscillates between the literary and the journalistic; in the chronicles of Clarice Lispector there is, however, the confluence with the essayistic genre. Thus, the study will investigate how this confluence occurs and for what purpose the author uses in her chronicles the reflections on the process of literary doing.

Revista Entrelaces2020-01-22T15:09:59Z2020-01-22T15:09:59Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfBELLAS, João Pedro Lima.
