Violência na escola: Representações sociais de professores do ensino fundamental nos iniciais de uma escola pública do município de Fortaleza

This qualitative study, which is descriptive and comprehensive, has as main objective to accomplish a research that seeks to understand the social representations of violence in school. These representations were described by elementary school teachers in the early years of a public school in the city of Fortaleza. Specifically, it aims: i) to identify the social representations of violence in schools for teachers in early elementary school years; ii) demonstrate the causative factors and alternatives for reducing violence presented by teachers; iii) introduce the types of violence described by teachers. In this study we have adopt the case study method considering the object in its specificity. We will have as research tools for data collection: literature survey; non-participant observation and semi-structured interview. The research was supported based on the theoretical framework that considers the violence theme, we will rely on the contributions of Arendt (2004); Crettiez (2008); Waiselfisz (2014) and Adorno (2002). On the topic of violence in the school environment, count on Ornelas and Radel (2010); Paredes, Saul and Bianchi (2006); Tognetta et al (2010); Abramovay and Rua (2002); Derbarbieux (2006); Camacho (2001); Charlot (2002); Sposito (1998), we will still have authors that legitimize the theory of social representations, they are: Moscovici (2013); Dotta (2006); Sá (1998). The research has relevance when we consider that the issue in question concerns all those who aim a quality education and even those who do not give up it when they encounter problems such as violence in school. The results indicate nuclei oriented towards "violence, and family context"; "Physical and verbal violence"; "Family context"; "Violence and social vulnerability" where social representations of violence have emerged from the research subjects for the association of family violence, poverty, physical and verbal violence.
