Comportamento sustentável expandido: uma análise conjunta do comportamento pró-ambiental, vegetariano e ativista

This dissertation sought to investigate the formation of pro-environmental behavior, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP) and Schwartz's Theory of Values, and their influence about other sustainable behaviors, vegetarianism and activism, forming a new concept proposed in this work, the Expanded Sustainable Behavior (CSE). The climb TCP was adapted from previous research, with seventeen items divided into five factors. To value construct, a reduced Schwartz scale with twenty-one validated items was adopted. How In order to obtain the desired results, analyzes of the sociodemographic profile of the respondents, a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) of the constructs (values, attitude, norm subjective, perceived behavioral control, pro-environmental behavior, behavior vegetarianism and activism), and a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the model proposed theoretical. The data presented adequate indices of reliability and validity, in addition to acceptable fit indices. The theoretical model made it possible to verify that the value of opening to change positively influences an attitude of care for the environment, as opposed to the value of self-promotion, which showed negative influence rates. The three variables of TCP had a positive impact on pro-environmental behavior, with attitude being the most significant construct. Finally, a positive influence of both pro-environmental behavior and vegetarianism on activism was identified, reinforcing the proposed theory of connection between actions and the new concept proposed in this work, CSE.
