Resumo: Our aim in this paper is to point out perspectives of approaching the poem to young readers, above all in the classroom. We focus on the teacher’s problem of dealing with some works that do not have aesthetic quality because they do not warrant a sensitive formation of the young readers. The way that seems better, although more difficult, because of the little practice of teachers in reading poems, is to search, in the work of our greatest poets, poems that are related to the expectancy of the young readers.

Chamamos a atenção para o risco que corremos de trabalhar com obras que não apresentam qualidade estética que garantam uma formação sensível do jovem leitor.
