In view of the growing social and economic inequality rates in the world, gastronomy emerges as an alternative to reduce these differences, which are a consequence of the global political and economic imbalance. With the great growth in the gastronomic market, social, academic and NGO projects are taking more space within society as vehicles that can provide opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and why not say therapeutic instruments. Therefore, this work proposes to present gastronomy as a social, cultural element and factor ofsocial change combined with education and related to social programs that use it as an inclusionand incomegenerating tool. The methodology will be based on a bibliographic survey that willbe used to support the theoretical context of the work. As well as the interviews with the participants of the projects commented on at work. All this analysis will serve as a basis to seehow gastronomy can serve as an instrument of social inclusion through projects that invest in the community.
