O valor na educação: especificidades no perfil axiológico de professores e professoras da rede pública estadual

Human values guide our actions, as well as cognitively represent our needs, assuming different degrees of importance, having some stability in time. Initiatives of contemporary movements in Brazilian education give signs of axiological conservatism, demanding from teachers an ethical posture that facilitates knowledge, focused on autonomy and open to diversity. Thus, from a psychosociological perspective, intertwining macro, meso and micro aspects, the research aimed to analyze the axiological differences, according to gender, in teachers of the state education network of a metropolis of Paraíba. The Basic Values Questionnaire, a Sociodemographic Data Sheet and an Open Questionnaire were used in a sample of 253 teachers in full exercise of their function. The results showed higher average for women in the Religiousness Value and Normative Subfunction, while for men in the Sexuality Value. The Open Questionnaire confirmed her greater involvement with religion, family and sociooccupational aspects, whilst his greater involvement with sports. It is concluded that these teachers demonstrate a conservative profile in customs, which requires moderation in the extremities of narrative warfare, and should rely on political and legislative endorsement for proper support in pedagogical theories and didactic methodologies that do not make their values an obstacle in mediation, which is teaching, in order to consider and achieve the healthy pluralism of ideas and values, based on ethics and otherness in an interhuman education, seeking another kind of globalization.
