Resumo: Benchmarking is a management tool to understand the best practices and achieve the best results. The objective of this work was to analyze the application of simap competitivo for measure companies of the state of ceará and compare its perfformance with the results of the companies listed on the bovespa. In addition to investigating regional factors that interfere with company results. This research used the quantitative index selected by baltazar (2015). Documentary research was also carried out in the diario oficial do ceará. For example, the non-probabilistic random sampling method was selected from a total of 10 companies of different levels. In conclusion, the analyzed sectors, the index are distributed among the possible quartiles. The regional factor does not influence the results obtained by simap competitivo. The best companies analyzed demonstrate the best results in: sales profitability, ebitda, ebit coverage, weighted value of quantity, net working capital and general liquidity.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a aplicação do simap commpetitivo como ferramenta de benchmarking em empresas do estado do ceará e comparar o desempenho com os resultados de empresas listadas na bovespa. Além de investigar se os aspectos econômicos regionais interferem nos resultados de indicadores de empresas localizadas no estado do ceará. Esta pesquisa utilizou 31 indicadores quantitativos com variáveis contínuas selecionados por baltazar (2015). Realizou-se também uma pesquisa documental no diário oficial do estado do ceará. Por meio do método de amostragem aleatória não probabilística foram selecionadas um total de 10 empresas de setores diferentes. Em todos os setores analisados, os indicadores das empresas cearenses se distribuíram entre os quartis possíveis. As variações de comportamento dos indicadores da amostra apontam para a percepção que o fator regional não influencia nos resultados obtidos pelo simap competitivo.
