Many teachers report difficulties in teaching students of the current generation (Generation Z). These students have a different way of thinking and acting, which influences the effectiveness of traditional teaching methods, merely expository. The objective of the study is analysis how the methodology used by the teachers in biology classes, in the context of digital technologies, influence the way students are mobilized to participate. The study is a survey research conducted with students and teachers in five biology classes in a public school in Fortaleza. The study takes place through the analysis of questionnaires applied to 136 students and 5 teachers in October 2015. The results realized the relationship that students and teachers keep with digital technologies within and outside the classroom according to their generations, was obtained the vision of they both on methodologies used in biology classes and how it influences the behavior of students, and contribute to the reflection of how Digital ICT ( Digital Information and Communications Technology) could be better used. The survey provides information to reflect about a new educational practice, which is substantial, significant and promote the autonomy of the students through the use of digital technologies. It is intended to expand the research on generation Z and the use of digital technologies at school through a post-graduate study.
