Resumo: | This research aims to characterize the organizational culture of a family business to understand the organizational culture of a family business, and specifically investigate the perception of its collaborators towards reality or organizational culture, cultural dimensions based on the theory of Hofstede. To this end, the research had as its object of study the family business Kits Folheados Commerce. The characteristics of family businesses and small businesses, microenterprises, are similar, with the possibility of this analysis I set is feasible. Studies foundations that supported this research argue that the reality of micro Brazilian company. Microenterprise has substantial significance in the Brazilian economy, with the formation of an entrepreneurial culture and great economic potential, with significant contribution of job opportunities. From the research object, this project developed the study in the form qualitative study of the context of a family business, in which cultural dimensions were judged by 25 employees of the commercial and manufacturing sectors, which enabled the collection of data by quantitative method through questionnaires, as well as data approach statistical procedures. Main source of theoretical references the study Hofstede (1980) which uses four -distance cultural dimensions of power, individualism, masculinity and uncertainty avoidance. It was found that the company had reasonable degree of power distance dimension, individualism dimension and uncertainty avoidance. The research was developed through descriptive and exploratory methods. The sales department was more individualistic than the production department, and this one with a power distance dimension degree higher than that one. The company is a collectivist company, its employees admire their bosses, in spite of it is difficult to be promoted. Goals, it is believed were fully achieved because there was an involvement of the company studied who consented to the study to develop effectively. This study serves as an example to evaluate the organizational culture through cultural dimensions in small family businesses. |

This study serves as an example to evaluate the organizational culture through cultural dimensions in small family businesses.Para a compreensão da cultura organizacional de uma empresa familiar, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo geral caracterizar a cultura organizacional de uma empresa familiar, e especificamente investigar a percepção de seus colaboradores frente à realidade ou cultura organizacional das dimensões culturais com base na teoria de Hofstede. Para tanto, a pesquisa teve como objeto de estudo a empresa familiar Kits Folheados Comércio. As características das empresas familiares e de pequeno porte, microempresas, são similares, com isso a possibilidade de análise em conjunto é factível. Os estudos bases que subsidiaram a presente pesquisa discutem essa realidade da microempresa brasileira. A microempresa tem significado substancial na economia brasileira, com a formação de uma cultura empreendedora e de grande potencial econômico, com significativa contribuição de oferta de empregos. A partir do objeto da pesquisa, o presente projeto desenvolveu o estudo onde abordou em forma qualitativa o âmbito de uma empresa familiar, na qual as dimensões culturais foram julgadas por 25 funcionários dos setores comerciais e produção, sendo possibilitada por meio do método quantitativo a coleta dos dados por meio de questionários, bem como para abordagem dos dados procedimentos estatísticos. Principal fonte de referência teórica o estudo em Hofstede (1980) que utiliza quatro dimensões culturais - distância do poder, individualismo, masculinidade e aversão à incerteza. A pesquisa ainda se desenvolveu com o método descritivo e exploratório. Foi constatado que a empresa apresenta razoáveis graus de distância do poder, individualismo e aversão à incerteza, sendo o setor de vendas mais individualista que o setor de produção, e este mais distante do poder do que aquele. A empresa é uma empresa coletivista, seus funcionários admiram os patrões, apesar de ser difícil de fazer carreira na empresa. Quanto aos objetivos, acredita-se que foram alcançados, pois existiu um envolvimento da empresa pesquisada que consentiu que o estudo se desenvolvesse de forma efetiva.
