Education of geography, urban violence and its relationship with school space and graffiti

Resumo: | The violence present in the cities is linked to the acts that happen in the school. Therefore, many everyday practices, said to be violent, present themselves as similar, is the case of graffiti. So, this article portrays a proposal for a qualitative approach to Geography teaching on three topics pertinent to the school studies: violence and graffiti. Based on these findings, a work of action research was carried out, materialized through a didactic-pedagogical intervention project, developed in a public school in the city of Campina Grande, PB. The results indicated that the project stimulated reflections and expansion of the students 'understanding of urban violence and graffiti, in addition to making possible Geography-daily relationship. |

Portanto, muitas práticas cotidianas ditas violentas se apresentam como similares, é o caso da pichação e da grafitagem. Sendo assim, o presente artigo retrata uma proposta de abordagem qualitativa do ensino da Geografia sobre três temas pertinentes aos estudos escolares: violência, pichação e grafitagem. Com base nessas constatações, foi realizado um trabalho de pesquisa-ação, materializado através de um projeto de intervenção didático-pedagógica, desenvolvido numa escola pública da cidade de Campina Grande, PB.
