Resumo: | Brazil, like every country, experiences problems such as the scarcity of electric energy and the degradation of the environment through the most traditional means of generating electricity. In order to find solutions that reduce environmental impacts, there is a great potential for using the country's natural resources. Allows the reduction of the degradation and improvement of the daily life of its population. Its location is strategic, staying in the southern hemisphere on the equator, making it a tropical country with good cycles of solar radiation. The largest percentage of electricity generation in Brazil is through hydroelectric plants, where in 2001 and 2002 the country underwent energy rationing due to the drought, and there was a need to find ways to save electricity so that Blackout throughout the country. Rio Grande do Norte, because it is located in the northeast region and is a coastal state, is abundant in solar radiation and has high rates throughout the year. According to the Brazilian Atlas of Solar Energy the northeast region has the highest availability 5.9 KWh / m² of solar radiation, having a great potential to take advantage of this radiation that occurs in the productive hours of the population. In this sense, this work studies the use of solar radiation for indoor lighting in classrooms as a proposal for the reduction of conventional (electric) energy at the Nila Rêgo Municipal School in Pau dos Ferros - RN. The methodology focused on analyzing the means to improve the study environment, thus using greater natural light, reducing the cost of conventional (electric) energy and improving the quality of life of users who use it. From the results obtained it can be determined that the efficiency of the illumination can only be achieved with a set of measures which were exposed in the work, thus using with effective control the natural lighting reducing the consumption of electric energy. |
