Resumo: | The teaching of Chemistry still has many obstacles, since students reject the subject as they cannot relate it to their everyday phenomena. Environmental education (EE), even if it is of utmost importance, is also a topic that is little bit explored by teachers in the classroom. That way, this present work aims to combine the teaching of the saponification reaction with EE through a practical lesson and the creation of pedagogical materials to be applied and validated in a public high school. The work aims to fulfill the requirements of the "EM13CNT101" and "EM13CNT104" competencies of the National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC). The application proved to be effective and satisfactory, as more than 60% of the 44 students who participated until the end affirmed that they learned about recycling of residual frying oil (RFO) and the chemical aspects related to soap production, they also affirmed that the materials and the practical lesson are interesting and were able to connect chemistry with EE. That way, it can be concluded that the work successfully achieved the proposed objective based on the competencies of BNCC, since students were able to develop a greater socio-environmental responsibility. |

La Educación Ambiental (EA), si bien es de suma importancia, también es un tema poco explorado por los docentes en el aula. Por lo tanto, el presente trabajo pretende combinar la enseñanza de la reacción de saponificación con EA a través de una clase práctica y la creación de material de enseñanza para ser aplicado y validado en secundaria en un colegio público. El trabajo tiene como objetivo dar cumplimiento a las competencias “EM13CNT101” y “EM13CNT104” de la Base Curricular Común Nacional (BNCC). La aplicación resultó efectiva y satisfactoria, ya que de los 44 estudiantes que participaron hasta el final, más del 60% afirmó haber aprendido sobre el reciclaje del aceite residual de fritura (ORF) y la parte química involucrada en la producción de jabón, además de afirmar que el material y las clases prácticas son interesantes y que lograron relacionar la química con la EA. Por lo tanto, se concluye que el trabajo logró el objetivo propuesto con base en las competencias del BNCC, ya que los estudiantes lograron adquirir una mayor responsabilidad socioambiental. O Ensino de Química ainda possui muitos obstáculos, visto que os discentes rejeitam a disciplina, pois não conseguem relacioná-la aos fenômenos do seu cotidiano. A Educação Ambiental (EA), mesmo que seja de extrema importância, também é uma temática pouco explorada pelos docentes em sala de aula. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho pretende aliar o ensino da reação de saponificação com a EA a partir de uma aula prática e da criação de um material pedagógico a ser aplicado e validado no ensino médio de uma escola pública. O trabalho pretende cumprir assim com o exposto pelas habilidades “EM13CNT101” e “EM13CNT104” da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). A aplicação se mostrou efetiva e satisfatória, visto que dos 44 alunos que participaram até o final, mais de 60% afirmaram que houve aprendizado sobre a reciclagem do óleo residual de fritura (ORF) e a parte química envolvendo a produção de sabão, além de afirmarem que o material e a aula prática são interessantes e que conseguiram relacionar a química com a EA.
