Resumo: | This article aims to share theoretical-practical reflections instigated by demedicalizing and intersectional experiences that have been built in teacher training. For this purpose, after delimiting the concept of medicalization adopted, theoretical considerations upon the production of a medicalized and medicalizing rationality are made on the current stage of capitalism and its impacts on teacher education, considering the hegemonic role of the school in the production and reproduction of the neoliberal logic, being also a fertile field for medicalizing perspectives and practices. The text argues that the critical understanding of medicalization of/on school gets complexity when it’s adopted to intersectional perspective, by eliciting the inter-relations between the processes of education medicalization and the social tags of oppression and exploitation, mainly race, class, gender, and sexuality. Whereas, in education, there are disputed speeches and projects, counter-hegemonic experiences are presented on teacher education (basic and continuous), that guide medicalization and intersectionality not only in the curricular gaps introduced but also in the instituting curricular movements. This article intends to contribute to a critical formation of teachers compromised with the demedicalization of education, on an intersectional perspective. |

Teachers formation. This article aims to share theoretical-practical reflections instigated by demedicalizing and intersectional experiences that have been built in teacher training.
