Resumo: | This article addresses topics of great relevance in the quest for the eradication of illiteracy in Brazil and presents an analysis of the implementation of the Youth and Adult Literacy Project “Yes, I can”, promoted by the Landless Rural Workers and Workers Movement – MST, in the Northeast region of Brazil. To this end, we seek to situate the reality of illiteracy in Brazil and understand how the Cuban Yo method works, sí puedo that inspired the MST Project. With more than 2,000 public schools created and more than 200,000 literate people, the MST demonstrates the feasibility of overcoming inequalities in access to education in Brazil and affirms the possibilities of using a Project that has proved extremely effective in the literacy process of adults. |

Para ello, buscamos situar la realidad del analfabetismo en Brasil y entender cómo funciona el método Yo cubano, sí puedo que inspiró el Proyecto MST. Con más de 2.000 escuelas públicas creadas y más de 200.000 alfabetizados, el MST demuestra la viabilidad de superar las desigualdades en el acceso a la educación en Brasil y afirma las posibilidades de utilizar un Proyecto que ha demostrado ser extremadamente eficaz en el proceso de alfabetización de adultos.Cet article aborde des sujets de grande importance dans la recherche de l'éradication de l'analphabétisme au Brésil et présente une analyse de la mise en œuvre du projet d'alphabétisation des jeunes et des adultes « Sí, puedo », promu par le Movimiento de Trabajadores Rurales Sin Tierra - MST, en la région nord-est du Brésil. Pour cela, nous cherchons à situer la réalité de l'analphabétisme au Brésil et à comprendre comment fonctionne la méthode cubaine, si cela a inspiré le projet MST. Avec plus de 2 000 écoles publiques créées et plus de 200 000 alphabétisés, le MST démontre la faisabilité de surmonter les inégalités d'accès à l'éducation au Brésil et affirme les possibilités d'utiliser un projet qui s'est avéré extrêmement efficace dans le processus d'alphabétisation des adultes.O propósito deste artigo é apresentar parte das reflexões empreendidas na pesquisa de doutorado cujo objeto foram as práticas educativas desenvolvidas em um assentamento de reforma agrária, entendidas enquanto práticas que se desenvolvem na produção e nas relações por ela engendradas. Os procedimentos técnicos de coleta de dados envolveram o levantamento bibliográfico, entrevistas e visitas. Tendo como foco de análise a dimensão da formação política, pode-se perceber o caráter profundamente formador do movimento social e do trabalho coletivo.
